The startup plans to use the funds to soak up 154,000 tons of carbon dioxide by 2028, by sprinkling basalt dust on tens of thousands of acres of farmland. It claims to be able to remove carbon at a rate of approximately half a billion tons per year.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, during the automaker’s Investor Day in Austin, Texas, said that Cybertruck’s demand was “far off” the hook. “Cybertruck won’t be…global for some time,” he added. Musk further said that 250 miles per charge for the base model Cybertruck, and 320 for the premium Cyberbeast is a “conservative estimate”. He added that demand for Cybertruck was lower than expectations.
