Meta is in court against monopoly claims
The US Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) lawyer on Thursday asked Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to remember the time when FTC had accused Facebook of locking out other companies following its acquisition of photo-sharing service Instagram. “When you were the CEO of Instagram,” Matheson asked Zuckerberg. “We were locked out of Instagram for a year…[and] I didn’t even have an account,” Zuckerberg replied.
Microsoft has tripled down on artificial intelligence
Microsoft, in an interview with Bloomberg, revealed it’s creating a new group of AI engineers as part of its transformation into a technology company. Microsoft said it is combining its AI platform work with its developer division to build software solutions for customers and their own teams. This comes after Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg predicted that AI-powered apps would be built by AI engineers.
