Problems at a key Boeing supplier may help explain the company’s mess
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has said that it is conducting an inspection of the Boeing 737 fuselage factories in Wichita, Kansas and Washington, DC. About 50 jets will require additional work before they can leave the factory because of improper drilled holes, Boeing said. It added the production errors are “not an immediate flight safety issue”.
Alaska Airlines is not flying the Boeing Max 9 through Saturday
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said that the Boeing 737 Max 9 aircraft that crashed last week, killing everyone on board, was subjected to a safety check in January. The FAA also said that it had not yet found any other similar incidents related to the aircraft in the past six months. The 737 MAX 9 was involved in two crashes last year.
