It will take weeks to clear Baltimore’s shipping channel
The Port of Baltimore in the US reopened on Thursday after a bridge collapsed into the Patapsco River. The bridge’s collapse is expected to affect the shipping channels at the port, which is currently closed due to a partial collapse of the bridge on Wednesday. The port will remain shut until the debris from the collapsed bridge is removed.
The Baltimore Bridge Collapse is about to happen
A container ship crashed into a support of a bridge in Baltimore, US on Tuesday, causing the bridge to collapse. The ship’s portion of the bridge fell into the Patapsco River, killing six people and injuring 14 others. The port director said that they’re “working with our industry partners to respond as needed and ensure supply chain continuity along the East Coast”.
