Advertisers stopped spending on X because of the Musk backlash
Elon Musk took to Twitter on Friday to respond to advertisers who have stopped advertising on X. He said, “We will be filing a thermonuclear lawsuit against Media Matters and everyone who colluded in fraudulent attack on us.” He added, “Media Matters’ research strategy to discover the advertisements that ran along antisemitic content was not representative of how regular people use our platform.”
Anti-hate researchers were sued by Musk’s X for allegedly taking data from Twitter
Twitter has sued the non-profit organisation that investigates hate speech on its platform, CCDH, accusing it of conducting a scare campaign to drive away advertisers. In a letter to CCDH, Twitter said it has received money from competitors and government entities. “The CCDH has sought to interfere with our ability to run its business and operate in a manner that’s consistent with its mission,” Twitter said.
