Howard Lutnick is Trump’s pick for Commerce Secretary

Lawmakers asked if the cost of doing business in the United States would go up if other countries retaliated with tariffs of their own. US President Donald Trump warned that he was ready to cut off imports from Canada and Mexico, America’s two largest trading partners and closest allies. Trump had earlier threatened to impose tariffs on imports from some countries.
