A US Treasury analysis considers the DOGE staff as an “Insider Threat”
Elon Musk had invited several staff members of his own team to join his leadership meetings and kept them out of the loop on decision-making, WIRED reported. As many as three of Musk’s employees, including Senior Adviser Steve Davis, had reportedly been invited but they didn’t show. The report comes after US Senator Ron Wyden requested details about Musk’s team’s access to US payment systems.
The US administration is about to withdraw staff from overseas posts
Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which recently took over the US Agency for International Development’s (USAID) security system, is cutting off staff email accounts on arandom basis, WIRED reported. A group of young DOGE agents has been stationed in USAID headquarters since last week. This comes after Musk announced his plans to “shut down” USAID.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deepfake pornography are issues worth talking about, Leah Feiger, the senior politics editor at WIRED said in a conversation. She also said the year of generative artificial intelligence was “the year of the WIRED politics team’s project”. “It seems like the hysteria around AI has waned, but deepfakes of politicians are still out there,” Feiger added.
