Beeper bought Apple’s iMessage Dominance

Automattic Founder and CEO Matt Mullenweg has said Beeper, which was acquired by WordPress and Tumblr, will remain as a stand-alone company. Beeper was founded in 2016 and is being acquired by WordPress and Tumblr. “And so private, free, encrypted, open-source communication is a fundamental human right,” Mullenweg said.
