AI for chatting with friends at the rooftop: A preview of new AI features coming to iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Macs
Apple typically uses its annual developer conference to announce big software updates and introduce new devices. But this year, Apple set aside the gadget talk and left plenty of room for what everyone expected would be the main topic of WWDC: all of the shiny new AI features coming to iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
Apple’s AI can help with writing emails, reports, and personal text messages. Messages can be generated with images based on the context of the conversation you are having. If you and your friends are chatting about throwing a rooftop party, it can generate an image of what that party might look like. It can even generate pictures of the people that you are talking to. You can use the photos that show her face to create an illustration of her if you send her a text. (If your mom is anything like mine, she will deeply hate this.)
The integration with OpenAI is part of the big artificial intelligence upgrade. If there is a new integration, they will determine whether a query is better suited for chatGpt. It will ask you for your permission before sending its request. You will not have to register with the service for using it without an account.
Latest Developments of the Apple TV, iMessage, and Calculator: Updates and Update Plans for the Mac OS, Windows, and iOS
The new Control Center is included in the latest version of the mobile operating system. It will be allowing you to freely place app icons on your homescreen. The company will also let you lock certain apps with the coming update, preventing other people from using them when you hand them your phone.
iMessage is getting some other upgrades, too, including the ability to schedule texts and support for SMS messaging via satellite. Apple is also rolling out colorful Tapback options and will let you bold, underline, and italicize text.
The new feature of Apple TV Plus will let you show the actors and their characters in the movie or TV show that you are watching, by simply using your remote. If you add the current song to your Apple Music, you can see it playing. Apple TV Plus will automatically show subtitles when you mute a show and will support 21:9 projectors.
A new Passwords app was revealed last week by Apple and will enable users to keep a record of their password on multiple devices. You can create and store passwords similar to other password managers like 1Password with the app. Passwords will be available on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, visionOS, and even Windows.
The iPad is finally getting a Calculator app more than a decade after its release. It comes with a new feature called Math Notes, which lets you use the Apple Pencil to write equations on your iPad and have the app solve it for you.
Apple’s Smart Script feature will use machine learning to improve the appearance of your handwriting and spell check your notes.

What Can You Expect to Learn from Apple in a 5yr Old OS? Apple Intelligence vs. Macbook Pro: Features, Updates, and Predictions
If you have a Mac and your phone, you will be able to mirror your phone on it. You’ll be able to interact with your iPhone directly from your Mac, letting you view notifications and hear the audio playing from your mobile device.
There are a ton of new features coming to watchOS 11, too, including a new capability that automatically adds widgets based on when you need them. Apple is launching a new Vitals app that will let you “explore your most important health metrics with just a glance” as well as new cycle tracking features, Live Activities, and support for Check In, allowing your loved ones to track you during your workout.
Apple has announced visionOS 2, its first major update for the operating system. Machine learning is one of the features coming to the Vision Pro. The update will also introduce support for an ultrawide virtual Mac display, more intuitive gestures, and support for travel mode on trains.
In the next AirPods Pro software update, Apple will allow you to shake your head if you want to respond to Siri’s announcements. Voice isolation is an improvement to voice quality and reduces background noise.
Apple announced a lot at the World Wide Developers Conference. Most of these features will become available in the fall, when Apple typically updates the software that runs on each of its devices.
Apple Intelligence also has advanced writing tools that can generate full emails or messages, or review what you’ve written to change the tone of a work email to help you avoid saying something you might later regret.
