The Copilot and Python integration inside of Excel enters public preview today, just as Microsoft makes Copilot in Excel generally available to its Microsoft 365 Copilot subscribers. Microsoft has added a bunch of new things, including the ability for the assistant to produce more charts and the ability to work with XLOOKUP and SUMIF.

Later this month, the conversations that occurred in the text chat and in meetings will be summarized by Copilot in Microsoft Teams. Improvements to the Copilot in Outlook will be coming, and now Microsoft has an assistant that can organize your inbox. A new “prioritize my inbox” feature lets Copilot automatically prioritize emails. You will be able to teach Copilot the specific topics and people that are important to you later this year. The emails will get marked as high priority in your inbox.

Later this month, Microsoft will improve Copilot in Word to allow you to reference data from both meetings and emails. It’s easier to add an attachment from an email to a meeting. Microsoft will release Copilot in OneDrive later this month, making it easier for people to compare and contrast different files.

Sixty percent of the Fortune 500 use Copilot and the number of people using it daily doubled over the quarter, says Microsoft. The free version of Copilot is likely to be included in the data points. A big customer for Microsoft has decided to sign up for 68,000 microsoft copilot licenses for their 100,000 employees after seeing early benefits
