Tesla CEO Elon Musk in an interview with The New York Times said that the demand for a fully self-driving car will be higher when it helps people make money off their personal vehicles by lending them out. He added that self-driving cars are expected to be 10-20 times safer than human-driven vehicles.
The robotaxis is ready for roll out
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said self-driving cars are Boundary Problems for him. He added that he believes Tesla’s software can drive a vehicle without human help much of the time, but it’s not reliable enough to drive unassisted all of the time. Musk further said that he believes demand for Tesla’s self-sufficient software will go up when it is fully self-sufficient.
