The EU said it was concerned about the “negative impact” of the blue tick system on users’ ability to make informed decisions about the authenticity of accounts.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, during the automaker’s Investor Day in Austin, Texas, said that Cybertruck’s demand was “far off” the hook. “Cybertruck won’t be…global for some time,” he added. Musk further said that 250 miles per charge for the base model Cybertruck, and 320 for the premium Cyberbeast is a “conservative estimate”. He added that demand for Cybertruck was lower than expectations.
Musk’s X is taking Media Matters to court over a report on hate groups’ ads
Elon Musk-led social media platform ‘X’ is facing criticism from several advertisers over posts by its CEO Kim Yaccarino, which have been found to support anti-Semitism, Forbes reported. Advertisers have urged Yaccarino to resign over the posts. Yaccarino had previously worked as the Chairman of NBCUniversal before being hired to restore X’s relationship with the companies that make up most of its revenue.

The new team will be headed by Greg Brockman, the former head of Microsoft Research, and will be led by Altman and Emmett Shear, OpenAI’s Vice President of Corporate Affairs. Earlier this month, Elon Musk also announced his decision to exit OpenAI.
Advertisers stopped spending on X because of the Musk backlash
Elon Musk took to Twitter on Friday to respond to advertisers who have stopped advertising on X. He said, “We will be filing a thermonuclear lawsuit against Media Matters and everyone who colluded in fraudulent attack on us.” He added, “Media Matters’ research strategy to discover the advertisements that ran along antisemitic content was not representative of how regular people use our platform.”
The new users will be charged $1 per year
Elon Musk-owned social media platform X has started a program to charge users in the Philippines and New Zealand $1 to post, reply and quote content on the platform. The company said the annual fee will apply to new users who want to post, like reply and quote other content on the platform. The fee will also apply to existing users.
